DiGiorgio Associates Inc. was selected by Brockton Neighborhood Health Center (BNHC) to assist them with designing their new, five-story community health center. After presenting the advantages of employing a single source Design/Construction Management methodology to BNHC, they elected to contract with Monitor Builders Inc. (MBI). To date, MBI has performed budget analysis and prepared preliminary scheduling for the project.

The 58,000 square foot facility will allow BNHC to consolidate all operations into one building. When completed, it will provide primary care services for pediatric, adult, urgent and obstetrical patients as well as specialty and support services that include HIV, neurology, ophthalmology, and dental services. Future plans for Radiology are also included in the design process. Long range plans include a parking structure. Site size and configurations were analyzed to determine the best approach to the overall design.

In a recent article, Sue Joss told of the long road Brockton Neighborhood Health Center has traveled to reach this milestone.  A groundbreaking ceremony is planned for this spring.
