With our expanded area of service reaching into the Mid-Atlantic States and an office in Farmingdale, Maine, we explored options for video conferencing and its impact on improving operational efficiencies. Our thinking was if this tool could provide the viewing quality necessary to review project documents remotely versus a significant investment in travel time, we were making a solid investment.
During the course of our research, we recognized that video conferencing could also provide the same benefit with our clients. We are currently equipped to connect with multiple sites that have video capabilities and IP protocol. Our system allows us to view both participants and project related materials (e.g., images, drawings) simultaneously. The materials are projected by way of PC or Laptop connection. Options are available for a document camera that allows real time viewing of hard copy documents that are being discussed and edited.
