DAI added Interior Design to its array of service offerings in 2005,  rounding out our in-house ability to take your project from inception to grand opening. We are now able to directly provide you with complete interior planning and design services including wayfinding systems. John Zychowicz, DAI’s Senior Vice President of Design, is the Corporate Director of our Interior Design Department.

The approach we take to Interior Design is to capture the essence of our client, their staff and the community. The standards program we create is developed through thoughtful and thorough information gathering. We continually investigate new products and approaches to interior planning and design. Product technologies have improved dramatically over the past few years and we look to incorporate the most appropriate fit for our clients. The selection process goes beyond style and takes into consideration a product's sustainability and long term ease of maintenance.

Evidence-based design research has shown that there is a direct correlation to improved healthcare delivery and patient recovery when key design elements are incorporated. From an interior design perspective, these elements consist of lighting, colors, textures, and greenery and extend to furniture, fixtures and artwork. Our team concentrates on the positive influence that operational efficiencies, privacy and a soothing environment have on a patient's care and well-being as well as staff morale, recruitment and retention. The close knit collaboration between the client, architect, engineers, and interior designer insures that all aspects of the project come together to create an environment that is appealing to all and is within the client's budget parameters.
