| Construction underway for new Wayside Residential Center |
|
Wayside Youth and Family Support Network is on the precipice of bringing to life a valuable resource for Massachusetts youth who need a little extra support coping with life’s challenges. It has been a long road and now the vision for this residential treatment center is a reality. A groundbreaking ceremony was held on Friday, July 26, 2007, launching the next exciting phase of this project.
DAI was brought on board in 2001 to assist Wayside develop a campus plan for the site selected in Framingham. On July 16th, Monitor Builders was awarded the construction management contract bringing together the DAI/MBI team once again on a project that will change lives for the better. The new Wayside Residential Treatment Center will consolidate several group homes and provide a more integrated and home-like setting. Residents will benefit from the thoughtful planning by the Project Team to create an all inclusive campus. The key areas of this center include an education center, private rooms for 72 youth residents, a cafeteria, gymnasium, and activity fields. |
