2004 Distinguished Alumni/AE Award
Domenic DiGiorgio, our President and co-founder, received the Boston Architectural Center's (BAC) 2004 Distinguished Alumni/AE Award. This award recognizes Domenic's devoted service to the school. He has served the BAC as a Board Member, participant on many enrichment committees, and mentor to hundreds of students. It further recognizes his participation on the BAC Practice Curriculum Committee over the past 15 years and his contribution as an architect in the areas of Healthcare and Senior Living.

Domenic graduated from the BAC in 1971. Over the next 18 years, he established an esteemed career, became registered in 30 states and founded DiGiorgio Associates Inc. in 1984 with John Weaver, current CEO. In 1989, Domenic wanted to give back to his alma mater and began sharing his knowledge with the students at the BAC as a volunteer member of the Practice Curriculum Faculty. He currently serves the school as a member of the BAC Overseers and as a Thesis Advisor. Domenic has also held several volunteer positions at Wentworth Institute after his graduation from there in 1962.

At DiGiorgio Associates, an Architectural Internship Program was created so that aspiring students of the BAC are afforded the opportunity to get hands-on experience. This program is essentially tailored to benefit BAC students by complementing the school's principles of concurrent education and experience.
