First Steps to Green presented at Yankee Alliance
Yankee Alliance, a not-for-profit organization with over 50 members, held their first Green Day Conference on July 18, 2007, in Worcester, Massachusetts. John Zychowicz and Susan Walter joined a distinguished panel of speakers to share their insight on the latest trend in Green Design. John and Susan walked the audience through basic steps that can be taken to develop a Green Mission strategy. They covered the key resources and certification programs available today through LEED, the Green Guide for Healthcare, and the Environmental Protection Agency's Energy Star program. They showed that there are choices as to how big your mission becomes - that there are incremental steps you can take that fit comfortably within your available resources and budget.

John is DAI's Senior Vice President of Design and in addition to his hands-on involvement in several New England projects, John monitors the quality of our design efforts nationwide. Susan Walter is one of DAI's Senior Designers from our Mid-Atlantic office and is a LEED Accredited Professional. As calendars turned the page to 2007, Yankee Alliance and DAI wrapped up negotiations on our firm becoming a Preferred Vendor for the organization. We are honored that Yankee Alliance chose our firm as a top shelf provider of Design/Build services. In a very short time, our new relationship with Yankee Alliance has been a profoundly rewarding experience and we look forward to a growing the bond with each and every member.
