Brockton Neighborhood Health Center (BNHC) has come a long way from their humble beginnings in the 1990s when they provided healthcare services from a mobile medical van operating out of a church parking lot. In 2006, BNHC held a groundbreaking ceremony for their new, 58,000 square foot Community Health Center. DiGiorgio Associates Inc. (DAI) assisted BNHC throughout their journey with site selection, planning and design. With appropriate funding in place, Monitor Builders was given the green light to proceed with the building segment of the project.

The new, five-story building is equipped to provide primary care services for pediatric, adult, urgent care, and obstetrical patients. Additional programs include HIV, neurology, ophthalmology, and dental services. With the expanded space, BNHC was able to bring together all service areas under one roof. The new location preserves the sense of familiarity for patients and the community benefits from the economic and aesthetic impact BNHC’s new headquarters brings to downtown Brockton – “A beautiful new building on a blighted corner – it’s a pretty big economic stimulus,” said Sue Joss, Executive Director of Brockton Neighborhood Health Center. BNHC held a ribbon cutting ceremony on November 2, 2007. It marked the beginning of a new era in BNHC’s ability to provide quality healthcare to all those in need.

Due to rapid growth created by a strong patient response to the new Center, the team of DAI and MBI were selected for an expansion of the Urgent Care Clinic. Groundbreaking ceremonies were held on October 26, 2009.
