DiGiorgio Associates Inc. was commissioned by Putnam Hospital Center to assist them convert the hospital into a facility with an ambulatory emphasis and up-to-date, patient-friendly appearance. We explored re-engineering options for Surgical Services in order to determine the most effective and efficient way for the hospital to deliver these services. Our Master Planning and Design contract included the preparation of a Surgical Services business plan. Other areas that underwent analysis in the re-articulation of the hospital's design included the Emergency Room, Physical Therapy, Pre-admission Testing, Pain Management, Women's Services, Admitting and a new Main Entrance.

The largest component of the Facilities Master Plan that we designed was a 95,000 square foot Ambulatory Care Center.  The building, developed by Columbia Development Company, houses an Ambulatory Surgery Center, Physicians Offices, as well as Hospital Administration and Support Services.
