DAI was commissioned in 2001 by Loudoun Healthcare Inc. to recraft a Facility Master Plan prepared by another architect. The finished product became the catalyst for guiding this five year old hospital's future mission and challenges through the next 10 years based on historical and anticipated annual growth. The new Master Plan was completed in October of that same year and is now being implemented in multiple phases. An expanded version was recently developed to be utilized at a presentation in October 2004 to announce the merger of Loudoun Healthcare Inc. and Inova Health System.

Our first major project was the new 30,000 square foot Women's Health Center that opened in 2004. This state-of-the-art center includes 24 single post-partum beds, 8 LDRs and a C-Section Suite. Both the 8-Bassinet and 14-Bassinet Nurseries are joined by a viewing alcove and seating area. To enhance the residential feel of the center, portraits of the staff's children line the corridors.
