DiGiorgio Associates Inc. (DAI) and Monitor Builders Inc. (MBI) were selected by Miles Memorial Hospital to perform planning, design and construction management services for their 45,000 square foot additions and renovations project. The hospital looked to DAI to review, evaluate, and implement their Master Facility Plan and CoN. The completed program consists of a new Intensive Care Unit, Main Entrance and Lobby, Emergency Department, and Outpatient Services, as well as increased Inpatient accommodations, Day Surgery, Administration, and a Board Room. The renovation portion of the project included the Laboratory, Diagnostic Imaging, Obstetrics, and Wellness/Rehabilitation departments. Infrastructure upgrades were also a vital component of the project.

Prior to the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Emergency Department, state inspection personnel told John Bowers, Vice President of Facilities Management, that it is the best designed and prepared Emergency Department they have ever seen.
