The first Monitor Builders Inc. (MBI) project with Southcoast Hospitals Group entailed 25,000 square feet of additions and renovations for ambulatory surgery at St. Luke's Hospital (St. Luke's) in New Bedford in 1994. In 1996, we implemented an 82,900 square foot additions and renovations project that created a new Lobby, Entrance and Admitting area. The second major component of this 1996 project was the renovation of the Emergency Department. Throughout the project, we were able to manage the challenges of planning temporary entrances and minimizing disruption including employing a golf cart to transport those in need from the parking lot. In 1998, we completed a 22,000 square foot addition and renovation of St. Luke's main operatories.
We are currently working with DiGiorgio Associates Inc. (DAI) at St. Luke's Hospital to construct an expanded Emergency Department inclusive of the relocation of support functions and a new Medical Surgical Tower, a project totaling 100,000 square feet. |
