Southcoast Hospitals Group Wareham, MA In a glowing letter from Robert Gauthier of Southcoast Hospitals Group relative to our work at Charlton Memorial Hospital, he expressed how he was looking forward to working with Monitor Builders Inc. (MBI) on this project. Our work at Tobey Hospital's Surgical Unit began with budget and scheduling forecast assistance. The scope of this project originally consisted of a two-story addition that would house the new Surgical Unit on the first floor and shell space on the second floor, potentially for Intensive Care. The hospital decided to add the design of the Intensive Care Unit to the project resulting in a 10-room unit. Parking was increased to facilitate visitor and patient access.
Throughout this project, which was completed in April 2004, our focus was on minimizing any disruption to visitors and staff, efficiency of operations, and keeping within the established budget parameters.
